Bridge Bay Campground was named for its proximity to Bridge Bay Marina on Yellowstone Lake. The campground offers open sites with few trees, or shadier options in the wooded upper loops of the campground. There are over 400 regular sites and 4 group sites available, 16 public restrooms with flush toilets and faucets with cold running water. Dishwashing stations are located at the rest room buildings. Pay showers and coin laundry facilities are located 3 miles away at Fishing Bridge RV Park. All campsites have a picnic table and fire grate and water is accessible nearby. RVs up to 40 ft. long may be accomodated in pull-through and back-in sites.
A Western Rose motel is located near downtown Cody, just 10 blocks from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and two miles from the Cody Nite Rodeo. The motel is less than three miles from Yellowstone Regional Airport, from which they provide airport pickup service. No Pets.
There are two developed campgrounds at Buffalo Bill State Park: NORTH SHORE BAY CAMPGROUND: which has 37 sites; 29 pull-through, 3 back-in and 5 designated tent-only. NORTH FORK CAMPGROUND: which has 62 sites; 56 pull-through and 6 designated tent-only sites. All campsites have tables and grills and are convenient to water hydrants and restrooms. Some hookups available. Base rates are: $10 for Wyoming residents ($15 for site with hookups), and $17 for non-residents ($22 for site with hookups). With the exception of those designated tent-only, campsites will accommodate trailers, tents or RVs. Roads and parking areas are paved. Pets welcome.
Buffalo Bill (Cabins) Village at the Buffalo Bill Village Resort
The original Blair Hotel at their downtown resort in Cody is the Buffalo Bill Village. Buffalo Bill Cody’s House Bed and Breakfast is located 2 1/2 miles from downtown Cody, 1 mile from the entrance to the South Fork Highway. The home was built in 1902 for Buffalo Bill and was located behind the Irma Hotel. The historic home was moved to its present location in 1972. Choose from three themed bedrooms and enjoy a full breakfast with all the “trimmins”! Relax on the front porch in the evening and watch for shooting stars. The bed and breakfast is for adults only, no pets and no smoking. All the guest rooms are located upstairs in the home. The proprietors serve a hearty western breakfast from 7-9 am. This large campground, open from early June to early September, is situated in a lodgepole pine forest close to the breathtaking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River near the center of the park. Camping in this area offers stores, restaurants, pay showers and a coin laundry. No utility hook-ups but a dump station is located nearby. For those interested, fishing the Yellowstone River or area lakes and hiking are within a short walk or drive of this campground. Evening ranger programs are generally scheduled from mid-June to early September.
Canyon Lodge and Cabins is a sprawling facility near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The accommodations include lodge rooms (located in two separate lodge buildings) and multiplex cabin-style units. Dunraven Lodge and Cascade Lodge are a part of the larger Canyon Lodge facility, these are two motel style buildings located next to each other. The only additional guest service in these buildings is vending machines for either snacks or soda. The balance of the lodging is made up of multiplex units called Western Cabins and Frontier Cabins. The cabins, built in the 1950′s and 60′s are arranged in loops. All hotel and cabin rooms have private baths. The main lodge building includes a reception desk, gift store, picnic/deli shop, full service restaurant and cafeteria. Horseback rides are also available from the nearby corrals.

Nestled in the scenic Wapiti Valley of northwestern Wyoming, Doc’s cabin offers you the unique opportunity to both sightsee and experience nature by Yellowstone. Elephant Head Lodge is a AAA Double Diamond approved, small log-cabin mountain resort located just 11.7 miles east of Yellowstone National Park in the Shoshone National Forest. The lodge and most of the cabins are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The lodge, restaurant, and the “Trapper” cabin were all built in 1910 by Buffalo Bill Cody’s niece, Josephine Thurston and her husband Harry W. Thurston. Harry was one of the first Rangers in the Shoshone Forest and knew about the spring that still serves the Lodge today. Pet friendly.
The Fishing Bridge Recreational Vehicle Park is located near the mouth of the Yellowstone River as it leaves Yellowstone Lake. The RV park is named after the Fishing Bridge, a wooden vehicle bridge that used to provide a great platform from which park visitors would fish for native Cutthroat trout. The Fishing Bridge RV Park provides approximately 250 sites designated for hard sided recreational vehicles only, because the RV park is located in bear habitat.
Grant Village, named after president Ulysses S. Grant who signed the law which established Yellowstone as the world’s first national park, was completed in 1984. The lodging complex includes 6 two-story buildings each containing 50 rooms. All rooms have private bathrooms. Also located in the area are two restaurants with lake views (one full menu and one specializing in a pub-style menu including a selection of burgers; beef, bison, chicken and black bean), a lounge and a small gift store. The village is situated on the southwestern shore of Yellowstone Lake, approximately 20 miles from Old Faithful, and is the nearest location to Grand Teton National Park.
Located on the southwest shore of Yellowstone Lake, the Grant Village Campground is situated at an elevation of approximately 7,800 feet in a lodgepole pine forest, just a few miles from the West Thumb Geyser Basin. The campground offers a relaxing setting with easy access to many services and amenities. Grant Village Campground is just over 40 miles from Colter Bay. There are over 400 sites at the Campground, including tent, RV and combination tent/RV sites. There are also 8 group campsites. Campsites for hikers and cyclists are also available. Green Creek Inn & RV Park is a small, American owned & operated motel, lodge, and RV park situated in the heart of Wapiti Valley, ideally located between Cody and Yellowstone National Park. The family-owned Lamplighter Inn and restaurant has been serving Powell and the surrounding communities for 30 years. Madison Campground is named for its proximity to the Madison River, which runs through the area in a lush mountain setting rich in wildlife. Madison Campground is at an elevation of 6,800′ and is set in a partly wooded area, with a variety of mostly sunny to mostly shaded sites. There are over 270 individual sites and 3 group sites. The campground can accommodate RVs and tents. Campsites for hikers and cyclists are also available. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. Access to water is nearby the sites. Madison Campground has 14 public restrooms with flush toilets and faucets with cold running water. Dishwashing stations are available at the restroom buildings.
In the early days, Yellowstone’s visitors began their park exploration at Mammoth Hot Springs, named after the steaming limestone terraces just above the hotel area. Today, Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel offers a warm welcome to summer and winter visitors. Elk routinely graze outside the hotel around the parade grounds of what was once Fort Yellowstone. As a national historic landmark, Old Faithful Inn is the most requested lodging facility in the park. The rustic-style lodge with log and wood shingle exterior is located adjacent to the world famous Old Faithful Geyser. The original part of the Inn, known as the “Old House,” was completed in 1904 and includes an immense lobby with a huge stone fireplace. The East and West Wings were added in the teens and the twenties, with many rooms having been remodeled in recent years. Guest accommodations include rooms with private and shared baths. Additionally, a full service restaurant, deli, gift store and interpretive tours are available at the Inn.
This historic cabin facility is located near Old Faithful Inn and includes a one-story main lodge built in the 1920′s featuring massive logs and stone pillars. Tremendous views of the Old Faithful Geyser can be seen from the bakery and cafeteria-style food court. The large gift store is also located in the lodge. Basic cabins are equipped with or without bath and grouped nearby.
