Buffalo Bill Historical Center

The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is located in Cody, Wyoming and interprets the history of the American West through artifacts and art displayed through 5 world-class museums. The museum brings an in-depth look in Western conservation, frontier entrepreneurship and most importantly, the foundation of our perception about the West.

Take a walk in Buffalo Bill Cody’s footsteps and explore his own personal collection of western memorabilia in the Buffalo Bill Museum. Exquisite artwork from Wyoming’s Native American tribes, original paintings and sculptures that illustrate the American west can be found in The Plains Indian Museum and the Whitney Art Gallery. The Cody Firearms Museum displays western history and heritage through a grand collection of American firearms dating back to the 16th century. The Historical Center’s recent addition of The Draper Museum of Natural History represents the first American natural history museum to be opened in the 21st century and provides information about the greater Yellowstone area.
