Gary Morris to perform Cody Wild West Show
I have to admit in my younger days I was a Gary Morris groupie. I grew up in Littleton, Colorado. Gary Morris had a band called Breakaway that played at two of our local bars. They always drew a huge crowd and they were fun to dance to. We could always be found Friday and Saturday nights at whatever bar they were playing. Gary Morris left Colorado and went to Nashville where he made the big time with 16 top ten hits and five #1′s. Then he went to New York and played on Broadway in Les Miserables and La Boehm. Gary also had a TV career hosting “North American Sportsman” and had reocurring roles on several TV shows. He is a multi-talented performer with a voice that is incredible. Now, some 30 years later, I get to relive my youth and again be a Gary Morris groupie. I am so excited!
If you want to join me, Gary performs at 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 26 at the Cody Theatre. Tickets are $25.00 and avaible at the Cody Chamber at 307-587-2777.

Just ran across this accidentally. Was searching for old Breakaway photos. I’m Salty, played bass for Gary in Breakaway from June ’78 until he signed with Warner Bros in ’80. Cheers!
