Wyoming is the setting in two feature films.
The movie 2012, now in theatres, is centered around a “supervalcano” located in Yellowstone National Park (the nation’s first national park and located in northwestern Wyoming). This epic adventure stars John Cusack and is loaded with special effects that depict the global cataclysm that is possible if the Mayan calendar is correct. Let’s hope it isn’t!

For a less serious storyline be sure to see Did you Hear About the Morgans? This film stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. They play an estranged New York City couple that witness a murder and are taken into the witness-protection program and are relocated to a small western town in Wyoming. This movie opens December 18.
